그는 인도의 아름다운 잠무와 카슈미르에서 거주하며 가장 간단한 표현으로도 영혼을 감동하게 할 수 있는 사람 중 하나로 유명하다.
그의 작품은 스페인어, 프랑스어, 독일어, 아랍어, 아프리카, 인도네시아어, 중국어, 힌디어, 우르두어, 페르시아어, 칸나드어, 타밀어, 산스크리트어, 멕시코어, 볼리비아어 등 많은 국가의 언어로 번역되었다.
