일본국제시인협회(Japan Universal Poets Association)에서 올초 “바람을 일으키소서, 여신들이여(Arouse the wind, Goddes)”라는 제목으로 세계여류시인 시선집을 발간했다. 

세계 각국의 여류시인 34명의 작품이 게재되었는데 한국에서는 양금희 시인의 “바람은 길을 묻지 않는다” “봄의 여신의 꿈”, “그대 마음속의 평화” 등 3편이 실렸다.

The wind doesn't ask the way

No matter how much time goes by,

Wind never getting older

Even though Wind doesn’t have a mouth,

 

Wind always say something What have to say

Even though Wind doesn’t have eyes,

Never lose her direction

 

When Wind face an angular face,

Wind always blowing somewhere else,

Without scratching or hurting

Wind Never stay,

Even though face soft place

 

When can I run on the crooked road on the earth,

without asking for directions

 

바람은 길을 묻지 않는다

 

세월이 가도

늙지 않는

바람의 나이

 

입이 없어도

할 말을 하고

눈이 없어도

방향을 잃지 않는다

 

모난 것에도

긁히지 않고

부드러운 것에도

머물지 않는다

 

나는 언제쯤

길을 묻지 않고

지상의 구부러진 길을

바람처럼 달려갈 수 있을까

Dream of the Goddess of Spring

Persephone, daughter of Zeus and Demeter,

What colors make up the dream of the goddess of spring?

Amidst the yellow forsythia and violet,

Cherry blossoms and purple flowers unfold.

But by the melancholy stone, under the tree,

Afternoon speaks a different language, alone.

 

Clouds wander and roam,

Taking shape and disappearing in the sky.

A thousand years passed, and a thousand more,

 

Meditating on the grass, one dreams of the goddess of spring.

 

Sand grains roll tirelessly, on and on,

Creating new worlds with each turn in her dreams.

Spring winds crash onto the tree's back,

In the quiet afternoon, spring speaks in a blocked language.

 

봄의 여신의 꿈

 

제우스와 데메테르의 딸 페르세포네,

봄의 여신의 꿈은 어떤 색깔들일까?

노란 개나리, 제비꽃 속에서,

벚꽃과 보라색 꽃들이 피어나네

하지만 나무 아래에 있는 슬픔 어린 돌 아래에서

오후는 다른 언어로 말하며, 홀로 있지

 

구름들이 떠돌아다니고,

하늘에서 모양을 만들며 흩어지네

천 년이 지나고, 또 천년이 흘러도,

잔디 위에 앉아 명상하며, 한 사람은 봄의 여신을 꿈꾸지

 

모래 알갱이들이 끊임없이 굴러가고 굴러가도,

그녀의 꿈에서는 매번 새로운 세계가 창조되지

 

봄 바람이 나무 등을 때리고,

조용한 오후에 봄은 막힌 언어로 말하네

 

 

 

Peace Is in your mind

 

Peace in all hearts,

Like snow falling from the sky,

Covers mind of all people,

Making the world beautiful.

 

Why do some hold guns,

And express their anger?

I wish peace would cover the world,

Like snow.

 

Peace is everywhere,

In the sky and on the ground,

In flowers and trees,

And in our hearts.

 

그대 마음속의 평화

 

모든 마음에 평화가 깃들기를,

하늘에서 내린 눈이 세상을 덮듯이

모든 사람의 마음을 평화가 덮어

아름다운 세상이 되기를

 

왜 어떤 이는 총을 들고

분노를 표출하는가

평화가 세상을 덮기를

내리는 눈처럼

 

평화는 온누리에 있네

하늘과 땅에

꽃과 나무에  

우리의 가슴에도 있네

한편, 양금희 시인은 ‘시문학’에서 등단하여 시집 ‘행복계좌’와 최근 ‘이어도 전설과 실존의 섬’을 발간했으며, 이어도문학회 회장과 제주국제협의회 부회장, (사)이어도 연구회 연구위원, 제주대학교 제주씨그랜트센터 연구원으로 활동하기도 했다.  2024년 뉴스N제주 신춘문예 공동심사위운장을 맡기도 했다. 현재 시문학 제주지회장을 맡고 있다.
